Joy In Suffering
Joy in Suffering
Sometimes the days are hard. Sometimes this broken world feels like too much, especially when the consequences of that brokenness affect us so personally. It is a hard reality that there is suffering in this world, in our everyday lives… Whether it be the reality of sickness, sin, or death, the pain of brokenness is so very real.
I’ve had many days where I say, “I don't want to do this” or “it shouldn’t be like this”, and over the years I have learned that I don’t have to endure any of “this” by myself, and that it is right that this world “shouldn't be like this”.
God’s Word tells the beautiful story of creation and the love that God has for man that He created, but then came the fall and brokenness entered this world… brokenness that didn’t belong… brokenness that causes pain still today, in my life and in your life.
I am not alone in my suffering; you are not alone in your suffering.
God made a way to heal the brokenness, a way that re-births us into a perfect life with Him, as He intended. Jesus is the way, He broke the bonds of sickness, sin, and death. Yes, we still experience them in this broken world (that will one day be healed too), but with Jesus we can experience the freedom that comes by being washed with His blood! Healing from the affects of brokenness in our lives, in our hearts and minds!
I have learned that however this broken world affects me, I can trust Jesus to heal me, cleanse me, and purge the affects of wickedness from my life! I have experienced the rebirth of my mind, my emotions, my perspective, never being alone because Jesus is my friend, comforter, and constant companion. Jesus is my joy; He is my joy in my suffering.
I don’t know what you are going through, but I do know that God’s Word is true and that you never have to be alone or experience loneliness. I know that Jesus heals and overcomes the brokenness of this world and the brokenness of your life. I know you can be free and live a NEW life, reborn and cleansed. Praying for your journey!
