So Will I

If you haven't had an opportunity to hear the song by Hillsong Music, "So Will I" I encourage you to listen to it. 

I heard this song for the first time a month or so ago, and it really stirred in me in an awesome way.

One of the lines from the song is, "I can see Your heart in everything You’ve made, Every burning star, A signal fire of grace, If creation sings Your praises so will I"

Essentially the song speaks to the wonder, power, and magnitude of God and His goodness, it's a beautiful song. 

I think, that since there is no-one like God, it is easy to forget, or lose context of the God we talk about, the God we pray to, the God we tell our friends about, or... when considering the the negative context,  the God of the Word we argue about, the God we neglect in prayer, and the God we cease to consider as we walk through life. 

Today there was a different line in the song that really stood out to me. 

"I can see Your heart, Eight billion different ways, Every precious one, A child You died to save, If You gave Your life to love them so will I"

God's love for every person, every single one, is so much greater than we can understand, and His love for them is what compelled Him to command us to love them just the same.

I am challenged by this question today. Will I give my life to love others as Christ did? 

I want to pass this challenge on to you as well. 

This past week I've had to step out of my comfort zone, to have some conversations, and to be stretched to do what God is asking me to do. In those moments of difficulty, I want to remind myself of this song lyric, "If You gave Your life to love them so will I"

I want to encourage you to do the same.

Let's love with the same radical love that has been given to us.
