Our vision

We desire to see Christ glorified, the lost saved, and the Kingdom of God manifest in Thurston county and around the world as we carry Jesus into our communities.

We know that as the Church of Jesus Christ we are the body of Christ. That means part of our mandate is to be the hands and feet of Christ, carrying the gospel and demonstrating it to everyone, everywhere! Our heart is to preach to all creation and make disciples of all nations!

Romans 10:14 says, "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”

We love doing outreach events, though we believe that outreach isn’t just an event but it's a lifestyle. We desire to see every believer walk as a true son or daughter of the King every moment so that in their daily lives they display the life of Christ everywhere they go.

Matthew 5:16 says, "In the same way, let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

We have a heart for compassion ministry, we know that God has called us to care for the widows, the orphan, and all who are in need. As the body of Christ we are called to bring hope to the hopeless.

Matthew 25:35-40 says, "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’”

We are believing, praying, and longing to see God’s kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven! God is looking for those who  are willing to lay their life on the alter as a living sacrifice. Let us say just like the prophet Isaiah, “Here I am, send me” - Isaiah 6:8

OUTREACH MINISTRY

We are called to make disciples to all nations. What better way to start than to take steps of faith in our own backyard! Woodland’s outreach ministry is geared to teach and equip each believer how to evangelize out in the world, so that that each believer will actively share Jesus in their every day life.

This ministry takes place every Saturday at 2pm. The 1st and 3rd Saturdays will be activation days, where the team will go out into the community and evangelize; whether it’s at a homeless camp or in the Capital Mall in Olympia, the goal is to be a light and spread the Gospel.

The 2nd and 4th Saturdays will be days for the team to learn by reviewing books, Scripture, and discussing methods for evangelism. The team meets to encourage, discuss, and learn at Cutter’s Point Coffee in Hawks Prairie (1340 Marvin Rd NE, Lacey, WA).

For any questions, or if you need to know where the team will be on an activation Saturday, contact Tim Glasgo at tim@woodlandnw.com.
